Week 10 Waiver Wire Wonders (Updated 11/10):
Don't wait too long for these gems...
Pick 'Em Up
If these guys would be on the bottom of your list and you feel there are better options out there...send 8-Ball or myself the folks that are out there on your waiver wires and who you are considering dropping and we can help you make the call...
Most of the free agent wires are picked through by now, and with the bye weeks all but over (outside of Houston and the Giants) not much action is needed to fill line ups...but in deeper leagues it is still worth getting rid of some dead wood and taking a shot on the following:
Freeman (QB-TBB) either him or Stafford (DET) are probably available and with the bad defenses and the need to throw the ball to stay in games, looks like these two could be fantasy significant if you get an injury or are hurting at QB. I still like Vince Young better than these guys because of his chance of running one in...but he is most likely gone by now.
Deion Branch -- Offers a nice plug in with potential to score a TD for you. I still think he is worthy of a roster spot. An injury to Houshy or Burleson makes him instantly significant and if you are low on waiver priorities you will not have a shot at him.
Derrick Ward -- has scored the last couple of games he has played in.
Larry Johnson -- news should be coming out soon on who has picked him up. A team like Washington could mean a few productive games for LJ. Most likely his owner dropped him after his suspension. Take a shot on him if you have an extra kicker or defense you will not play or someone who is injured.
Schilens -- I know I have been talking about him all year and he continues to sit back and not play. Heck, at this point of the season if you need a 4th WR, then what have you got to lose with this one?
Kolby Smith -- Activated off the PUP list this week. Charles has not really done a whole lot with his opportunities so Smith might steal some looks...and was once productive. Worth a long shot.
Again if you are not in a deep league, and there are folks out there you are interested in...send us a note and we can help you decide.
