Week 6 Start 'Em / Sit 'Em
You know the drill…so here it goes for week 6:
If you still feel like you are in a pickle, then send 8-Ball or I your quandary and your lineup requirements and whether or not it is a PPR league to: TheKing@FFLKing.com or 8-Ball@FFLKing.com
Please do not start anyone that is on a bye week…that would be anyone from the Fins, Colts, Cowboys or San Fran unless you are playing me…then it is okay!
Also, if you notice a dude in your starting line-up that ain’t on the list…this is a strong indication that your team is in need of help…eat a couple of apples…send in your team and we’ll pull out our scalpels and go to work on it!
The prognostications are split between 8-Ball and I…this is my list…so don’t be all confused when trying to make sense out of his player rankings and my start/bench list. Most are similar…but we do not agree on everything…
Rams @ Jags: I don’t start any QB here…must start MJD and S-Jax, Sims-Walker and Avery…the rest proceed with caution as it isn’t so good if you have to start whoever else that could be left in this game…
Chiefs @ Skins: Cassel can start…seems like you can count on him for 2 scores every week…I mean I would prefer other options but for a bye week plug in he is Okay. Bowe is also a must start every week…whenever a player consistently scores even while on a bad team…they are truly something special…Bowe is special. Portis can play in this one….no one else for me. 8-Ball likes Santana Moss but I would let him get some splinters…
Texans @ Bengals: Lots of folks to play in this one: Schaub, Palmer, Slaton, Benson (okay, I give in start him), Ochocinco, Henry, Johnson, Walter, Daniels…and that’s enough. I really don’t think Ocho is gonna have a great game here but…he’s done it every other week and I would have a hard time pulling the trigger and bench him…
Ravens @ Vikings: You have to start All Day if you have him…no other choice…I also think you have to start Ray Rice if you have him…and I think Mark Clayton goes to town…I sit everyone else if I can…don’t trust ‘em in this game…8-Ball would start Berrian…not me.
Lions @ Packers: Fireworks show in October? Smith in Detroit starts for me in a PPR league, otherwise not…Johnson and Northcutt could fill in for a bye or injury…so could Pettigrew….Rodgers, Grant, Jennings, Driver, Finley, The Pack Defense, Crosby, the waterboy and jock strap cleaner all start for me this week.
Browns @ Steelers: Browns starting for me = zero…Steelers…Big Ben, Mendy (although tame your expectations), Holmes, Ward, Miller (he is hot) and Wallace in a pinch. I sit Parker until he is healthy and gets more load…
Panthers @ Buccs: Deangelo and Steve Smith are in…and will continue to be in…Antonio Bryant and Kellen Winslow are in and will continue to be in…that’s likely the story for the time being from me with these two teams until something else happens than has happened so far.
Giants @ Saints: I have limited expectations this week of the Giants…but you just cannot sit them because I think they will disappoint so put ‘em in coach…Manning, Smith, Manningham…Nicks if you have to, Jacobs and Bradshaw…You have to start Brees, Thomas, Colston and Shockey (who needs to step up and back up his smack talking). I take a flyer on Meachem this week if I have a need. This is strictly King intuition…I am sitting Bush, Henderson, Moore, Boss and Bell.
Cardinals @ Hawks: Play ‘em if you got them…and this includes Breaston and Branch…
Eagles @ Raidas: Start all of your Eagles…McNabb, Westy, McCoy, Jackson, Maclin, Celek…sit all of your Raidas.
Bills @ Jets: In a pinch I would play Jackson and Lynch but no one else from the Bills. I run with Jones, Washington, Edwards and Clowney…that’s right CLOWNEY…I am starting Clowney this week…no really I am (literally in 2 of my leagues and it would have been 3 if I did not get higher priority waiver wire selections on the cheap). Clowney’s gonna go nutty. Keller is also a decent play.
Titans @ Pats: I don’t trust the Titans beyond Chris Johnson. I play Scaife if I have to and any of their wide outs if I have no other options as this game could get out of hand and in the air quickly. For the Pats I run with Brady, Morris, Moss, Welker and take a flyer on Edelman…no one else.
Bears @ Falcons: If you got them…play ‘em and this includes Bennett but not Jenkins…everyone else must start.
Broncos @ Chargers: Orton, Marshall, Royal, Scheffler, Moreno, Buckhalter, Rivers, Sproles, LT, Gates, Jackson…they are all fine plays really. I have less expectations for Jackson this week but it would be pretty hard for you to sit him. LT usually plays the Broncos tough so if you have him you are most likely playing him…although, I would lean against him and Buckhalter if you had better options…but they could do something. A nice fantasy game here…I think Sproles will be solid…but there is a ton of risk here…I was starting him until I picked up Clowney…
