8-Ball’s thoughts…
Rams 20 @ Jags 23: Hit the mark stating that MJD, Walker and Sjax were strong starts. Forced against the line went 0-2 on this game. Hit the td on Avery but missed with receptions and total yards. Called 2 of MJD's TD but missed on his third. Called decent game for Garrard and Holt. Pretty good call fantasy wise but missed the game call itself.
Chiefs 14 @ Skins 6: Hit the total but missed on the Chiefs win. Called Portis for a good game but missed the mark on Moss. Called good game for Bowe but missed on the td. Hit Cooley on the mark and advised not to play players from this game unless you had too.
Texans 28 @ Bengals 17: Called this game and the Texans win on the road. Predicted big game from Johnson and he delivered. Had Schaub with 3 tds and 320 yds and he finished with 392 and 4. Had Daniels with a good game and he amazed all! Had Palmer with 250 and 2tds and he finished with 259 and 1. Had Slaton with 40 yds rush and he finished with 43 but he did get a td receiving which I missed (and over 100 receiving yards). Had Ocho with 5/90/1 and he had 5/103. Missed the mark with Henry who I thought would score and he went 1/20.
Ravens 31 @ Vikings 33: Called Favre to make enough plays to keep Vikes undefeated but thought the defenses would step up. Missed mark with both Rices but nailed Berrien and Mason totals. Flacco blew projections up by passing for 380 + and Peterson did not find the end zone as predicted.
Lions 0 @ Packers 26: Hit mark on laying points with the pack but missed the totals as lions could muster no offense. Called good game for Rodgers, Grant and Driver but didn’t expect the tds to go to scrubs. Hit on Kevin Smith’s totals but missed on his catches and tds.
Browns 14 @ Steelers 27: Called Hines Ward to tear the Browns up. Hit the under but missed the Steelers by a point. Called a good game for Big Ben and he did not disappoint. Missed on Miller td but nailed Mendenhall and good day for Santonio Holmes.
Panthers 28 @ Buccs 21: Nailed the over but thought the Buccs would cover. Missed on Steve Smith call as I thought he would step up this week. Told you to play DeAngelo as he would right the ship. Called Caddie td but missed on Winslow.
Giants 27 @ Saints 48: Called the over and told you to start all players in this game. Got Colston and Shockey tds but thought Thomas would get goal line carries. Predicted much better day for Manning and Smith but missed the mark. Said to start Brees but that is a no brainer.
The King’s thoughts:
Cardinals 27 @ Hawks 3: Nailed the Cards with 27 points on the button, got them right with the points but missed the over. Called Breaston for a big game and he came through…nailed Hightower. Problem in this game was the Hawks did not show up at all…missed on all accounts there.
Eagles 9 @ Raiders 13: Hit on McNabbs yardage but he did not pass for a TD, called Westy for 22.4 points and he had 23.1, called Desean Jackson for 16.8 and he had 15.4, called Celek for 4/63 and he went 4/75…missed on McCoy and Maclin. Didn’t see the Raiders scoring in this one…missed on the Eagles winning and hit the under.
Bills 16 @ Jets 13: Nailed the under on this one. Thought the Jets would take care of this one and they should have. Hard to overcome 5 interceptions by your QB. Boy did I miss on Clowney once I found out that Cotchery and Smith were both out…thought this was a good call and would have taken that chance again…but a goose egg? Come on man! Nailed Owens and Lynch and the Bills QB. Missed on Evans, called Thomas Jones TD but missed him by 141 yards as he went for over 200. Called Edwards for 3/35 and he went 3/40.
Titans 0 @ Patriots 59: Here is my quote from the prognostications “…don’t be surprised if the Pats just lay it on and put up a half a century in this one…” This was the call of the week for The King. Nailed it and then some. Called the Pats and the Over.
Bears 14 @ Falcons 20: Nailed the Falcons for 20 points…missed on the Bears by 10. Hit on the Under. Called Hester for 5/90 and he went 6/83, nailed Olsen for 3/56/1 and he went for 5/57/1. Missed on Bennett. Called White and Gonzo for touchdowns which they had…but they both missed a bit on yardage and catches. Overall this game would have been an excellent call if Cutler could step it up on a Sunday night.
Broncos 34 @ Chargers 23: The Broncos continue to surprise. I am now a believer…took me a while…but I am a believer in what they have going on out there. Just plain, good, solid football. I called a defensive TD for the Broncos…just the wrong flavor and only 1…hit on the over but with the 3 defensive TD, I missed on a bit of the game including the winner. 8-Ball and I have been huge Scheffler supporters as of late… and for those with wisdom (Like Meika!), this helped you out this week as he even beat my projections of 4/58/1 and posted 6/101/1. I projected Orton for 21.75 and he scored 20.1…called Tomlinson for 17.9, he had 13…thought he would disappoint. And although Jackson scored 14.6 points, this is a disappointment for his owners, as expected. Gates was pedestrian for him and Sproles disappointed a ton, again...Kaeding came through with a big day…just as The King predicted with 3 field goals.
