Week 4 Start 'Em / Sit 'Em

You know the drill…so here it goes for week 4:

If you still feel like you are in a pickle, then send 8-Ball or I your quandary and your lineup requirements and whether or not it is a PPR league to:  TheKing@FFLKing.com or 8-Ball@FFLKing.com

I feel like going in reverse order this week so I will start with the Monday night game:

I am starting Brett Favre this week if I have him.  You probably heard on our Podcast what we think of him for Monday night.  I take a shot on Sidney Rice if I have a need as well as Chester Taylor this week.  Of course, I play All Day.  On the flip side of the ball, I look for other options outside of Grant this week.  If you gotta play him… then so be it, but don’t expect much against the Viking D.  No doubt I am starting Rodgers, Jennings and Driver.  I sit both sides’ tight ends and defenses.

If Parker is down, I am starting Mendenhall and even Mewelde Moore if he starts…I also start Ward & Holmes and Big Ben.  Not Miller.  I don’t play Wallace this week, just a hunch.  Sproles is starting on my team even against the tough D at home.  The Fantastic Four (Rivers, Gates, Jackson and Sproles) all play every week for me but no one else from the Chargers except the #1 kicker in FFL -- Kaeding.

Romo sits, Barber and Choice play if I got them.  Witten obviously starts.  Again, I say sit all Dallas WR.  I am playing Marshall this week.  Only if I have to, I start Moreno.  That is it for Denver.

Coffee is a must start and so is Vernon Davis.  I sit the rest of the 49’ers except their defense.  Steven Jackson plays if he is on my team but I bench the rest of the Rams.

One of the best pass defenses goes up against the best pass offense.  If you got Brees you start him.  Same with Colston, Thomas & Shockey.  Bush is probably a start for you if you have him but you are carrying a lot of risk here if you do.  Bye weeks may push you into Thomas Jones or Leon Washington and I guess you could have worse options…but I would rather start Keller, Cotchery and Stuckey.  2 out of the 3 will have productive fantasy days.  Fliers like Henderson, Meachem, Clowney, etc…sit for me this week.  Just not worth the chance of getting 2 or 3 points.

Ronnie Brown starts every week.  No other Dolphin plays for me.  Fred Jackson plays for me this week.  Although I wouldn’t be happy about it, I am starting Owens in hopes of an explosion.  This is only because of pride I would start him.  Willing him to do well, if you will.  The prudent thing to do is trade him and I told you before the season started that if you wanted him you could get him for nothing after the 4th week…anyways if you made your bed…you mind as well sleep in it!  If you got him start him.  I sit Evans this week but I do start the kickers in this game….

Johnson & Johnson start for me this week with the Lions.  No one else unless Smith plays and I have a need to play him.  I am loading up on the Bears if I got ‘em.  Start Cutler, Knox, Forte, Hester, Olsen, the defense, Gould..if you have them they will score…heck throw in Bennett for good measure.

Unless I have a better option I am okay playing Eli this week.  I start Manningham, Steve Smith, Jacobs and Bradshaw (if he plays).  I suggest sitting Cassel (although I personally have no choice but to play him in one of my leagues).  I definitely sit LJ & Bradley (unless Bowe sits).  Bowe starts and so does Wade this week as one of them, if not both will score.

Julius Jones has to start and I would have a hard time sitting Burleson, Houshy and Carlson.  Wallace should do okay.  I am loading up on the Colts this week…start them all…every last one except Collie.

Jerome Harrison is the only Brown I am comfortable with starting and only if the bye week has put me in this situation.  You can take a chance on Braylon this week and I wouldn’t knock you for this…I just wouldn’t.  All my Bengals play this week (except if I am still sitting on Scott)!

Bush and McFadden start against a bad running D, the rest of the Raidas sit.  I start ‘em if I have ‘em in Houston…all of them including Walter this week.  And no I am not including Chris Brown as on eof my Texans…

I play Gage this week, Johnson and White…that’s it from the Titans.  I also start MJD and Sims-Walker…the rest from the Jags sit.

Everyone from Baltimore plays for me this week and everyone except those that run the ball play for me who are on the Pats…with the exception of the tight ends…they can sit.

The Skins can play this week.  Campbell, Moss, Cooley and Portis.  I might take a shot on Winslow, but the rest of my Buccs ride the pine.

Good luck this week!
