NFL Week 10 Recap:
The King went 11-4 in outright wins, pushing his yearly total to 63-25. The King also went 17-9-4 against the spreads in week 10, pushing his total forced against the spreads to 91-81-4.
8-Ball went 9-6 in outright game winners, pushing his total to 53-30. He also went 13-16-1 against the spreads in week 10, pushing his total forced against the spreads to 64-90-5.
Bears 6 @ 49’ers 10: I learned my lesson and will never project Cutler for anything less that 3 to 5 interceptions and no more than 1 touchdown for a night game unless I have strong evidence via demonstrated performances that he can step up! Although I made a good call with the 9’ers winning by 3, and they won by 4 as 3 point dogs…this was a horrible game.
Lions 10 @ Vikings 27: They pushed the 17 point spread. I am very disappointed in my Lions even though I thought they would lose by more. It’s tough being a Lions fan…at least I have fantasy football to distract me and create the need for me to pay attention to 31 other teams!
Falcons 19 @ Panthers 28: 8-Ball and I were all over the Panthers winning, both picked ‘em. With another win they are at .500
Buccs 23 @ Dolphins 25: Hey, this guy Freeman might have some stuff to work on but they have been productive with him in the line-up…they gave the Fins a lot more of a game than we thought they would…good for them, even though they are 1-8 like the Lions, at least they had a shot to win another game.
Saints 28 @ Rams 23: Rams also put up a fight for a 1-8 team…give them credit. Didn’t think this one would be close! My question is will Colston get out of his funk?
Broncos 17 @ Skins 27: Utterly disappointing for Denver fans…now even with San Diego in their division. Skins now, with all their turmoil have won 3 games. Good for them!
Jags 24 @ Jets 22: Similar start with falsely high expectations for the J-E-T-S fans. Their defense has disappointed fantasy owners, including myself…not many sacks or turnovers…giving up points…not liking this team for fantasy.
Bills 17 @ Titans 41: Wow, what a stretch of games for Vince…looks like he is playing within himself and pretty comfortable. 3 in a row, good for them! This guy, Chris Johnson is pretty amazing and continues to impress. I don’t even want to think about a repeat performance that he had against Houston earlier in the year…and that’s because he isn’t on my team. Bills fans should probably be happy with their 3 wins…at least you are not a Lions fan.
Cincy 18 @ Steelers 12: I remain amazed at Cincy’s defense. Sure with the offense and Palmer back a lot of people could have called for production here and a decent team…but 7-2, a top their division with Baltimore and Pittsburgh in it. Even closet Bengal fan 8-Ball did not see this win coming…With LJ, Bernard Scott and Brian Leonard I don’t think Benson missing time is going to slow them down too much.
Chiefs 16 @ Raiders 10: there was only 23 points scored the first time around and this one yielded 3 more…not real exciting stuff out of these teams…not much to say other than they did what they thought they would. They are who we thought they were…
Cowboys 7 @ Packers 17: I was very surprised by the overall lack of production. Both 8-Ball and I were projecting 60+ points in this one…bad calls.
Eagles 23 @ Chargers 31: We both nailed this game on all accounts…Eagles are on the down slope and the Chargers are on the rise…the Chargers need to do a better job keeping the opponents passing game down to do anything in the playoffs, in my opionion…450 yards in the air against? What are they doing? Using a Lions defensive scheme?
Seahawks 20 @ Cardinals 31: Real close on our projections, the biggest surprise was Burleson getting the goose egg…really surprised by that one.
Pats 34 @ Indy 35: We all know about this game. I, personally, who would tend to root for the Pats in this one being a Brady/Moss owner, was not upset about them going for it on 4th and 2. I mean with 2 minutes left in the game and you punt to Manning…how many yards on a football field is enough so that you can stop him from scoring? I don’t care if it’s 70 or 30…the point is you have to stop them and they didn’t…they needed to man up and play good solid defense for a few downs and they didn’t do it…period.
Ravens 16 @ Browns 0: The Ravens shut them out as The King called it…but I was still disappointed with the Ravens offense. The Browns played some good D. I only wonder if this week’s game against the Lions could actually end up in a 0-0 tie. A true fight for the #1 draft pick in 2010! Surely one team has to screw up and turn the ball over within field goal range? But, ya never know and this is why they play the games!
