NFL Week 6 Prognostications:

Lines as seen Tuesday on http://www.footballlocks.com

Last week The King went 7-7 in Outright games, 7-6-1 Against the spread and 11-3 in the Over Unders.  I finally went through the painful exercize of tallying up week 4...5-9, 4-10, 4-10 respectfully but not so respectfully.  Total for the year:  Outright Games = 38-38; Against the Spread = 33-38-5; Over/Under = 39-34-3.

Bye weeks this week:  Zona (3-2), Buffalo (0-5), Panthers (0-5) & Cincy (2-3)

Here is what is gonna happen with the Week 6 Action:

Notes:  So the Chargers started a little slow.  Now it is time for them to make a run…starting with the Rams.  Expect a dominate performance out of Rivers and Gates…throw in Floyd and some more of what we were expecting out of rookie Mathews and sprinkle in a few FG  by Kaeding for good measure.  Steven Jackson is the only one to play for the Rams this week.

Notes:  Houston wants to silence a few critics in this one; especially Schaub and Andre…I expect them to put up solid numbers along with Daniels for his first fine outing.  Foster should do enough damage and you are going to start him anyways.  Jamaal Charles should be in your line up and if there ever is a week to start Bowe...then this is the one.  I don't expect much from the rest of the Chiefs.

Notes:  Lots of folks underestimating the fact that ball coach has had an extra week to prepare a home game against one of the finest teams in the NFL.  The Pats defense is opportunistic enough to limit Flacco.  Ray Rice will do his thing though and keep it close.  Pats fans will reminisce "Randy who?" after Welker, Hernandez and Tate all score.

Notes:  Tampa Bay will put up some points at home and put a scare into the Saints…not enough to win the game as Brees shreds their defense with a couple long scores to Henderson.  Henderson for two TD, Colston and Shockey pile on a couple more and a 4 TD performance, 300 + Yards for Drew.  Play Winslow and Williams for the Buccs.

Notes:  Great game in the making that yields an upset.  The Eags just ain't healthy enough to handle Turner (who will actually score), Roddy and Gonzo…heck they all score a TD.  I think you have to start Celek, McCoy, Jackson and Maclin due to their upside, and if you have to play Kolb that is not the end of the world.

Notes:  All Detroit needed was to learn how to win…I would say a 44-6 outing did just that.  The D of Detroit will do just enough for Best to scamper for a few scores.  Obviously start Manning and Nicks, Best, Megatron if he plays.  The rest are suspect.

Notes:  Seattle on the road + Cutler back = Chicago landslide win.  Another big day for Forte and a pile of yards for Knox.  Nobody worth starting for Seattle until the departure of Branch sorts itself out and Lynch gets a couple games under his belt.

Notes:  Miami had a week to rest and Green Bay is banged up.  I look for a heavy dose of Williams and Brown with some solid play from Marshall and Hartline.  Miami leaves the game a contender.

Notes:  Rookie QB against one of the games best D on the road spells D-I-S-A-S-T-E-R for the Browns.  Huge game for the Steelers D…and Mike Wallace is very happy to have Big Ben back.  Don't forget about Heath Miller either!

Notes:  This one definitely comes down to the wire.  Favre doesn't make it through the game and Romo hits Witten for the game winner!  Expect a fine showing from FXJ, Austin and Romo as well as ADP and 84.  Harvin is also a must play for the rest of the year.

Notes:  An exciting Monday Night game with MJD being outshined by CJ2K.  Vince Young shines during prime time with Kenny Britt posting big numbers.  Sims-Walker will either score big or not at all…I say flip a coin on that one.

Best of luck to y’all this week!
